November 2009 - Shears commence development of an upgraded IT system where customers will be able to have full visibility of all their freight by inputting the information on line. The system will print the pallet label, manifests and also a specific consignment number from which the freight can be fully tracked and traced. Customers will also be able to access proof of deliver information with the ability to print a copy if required.
November 2009 - Shears Bros (Transport) Ltd relocate to new larger premises of 54,000 sq ft located on Bournemouth International Airport. This facility brings together the distribution and storage departments into one building. This will enable us to carry out all freight transfer under cover protected from the weather in a secure clean environment. Shears Bros (Transport) Ltd have increased the storage capacity which now provides 2000+ racked pallet spaces. This will be up to the food storage specification with BRC certification so you can store your goods with confidence.
October 2009 - Hazchem network launch a Haz parcel service. Shears Bros (Transport) Ltd are pleased to offer this service to any one in our area. If you have Hazardous parcels to send please contact Mr Peter Jaffray.
October 2009 - Shears Bros (Transport) Ltd have had their delivery area extended by the Hazchem network to include DT1-2 Dorchester DT 3-4 Weymouth DT 5 Portland and DT11 Blandford.
August 2009 - Shears Bros (Transport) Ltd are awarded a partnership deal with Norbert Dentressangle to service the Central Southern counties on a daily basis.
